instructor, health & adaptive movement educator. She is a member of & certified by the
National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association, (NESTA),

Children's Programming for
HeArts For Autism, for 1 year, helping them establish  the  'Happy Hearts' Yoga Program. She is currently involved with
the
Brain Balance program as the assistant director of their Springfield, PA Achievement Center.

Barbara has provided individual & specialized programs & consulting for a variety of families, organizations & venues throughout PA & NJ. She has
most recently worked with
Serenity Health & Fitness in Red Hill, PA to help design the very first children's inclusive/adaptive dance & movement
curriculum of its kind in the area. She is currently working with local studios to implement the
"S.A.F.E Spectrum™ " Sensory Training workshops,
which will enable them to expand their range of adaptive dance & fitness to children & teens with autism, ADD, and other sensory & cognitive
challenges.

Her approach is child centered, interactive, creative and fun. She has observed that guiding and teaching children through creatively moving &
playing in a non-judgemental environment, will empower them to learn more readily, be more physically fit & socially confident. This in turn motivates
them to do more, explore, ask questions & learn about the world around them.

In addition to certifications in Mind/Body Fitness, exercise physiology, children's yoga, nutrition, aromatherapy, reflexology, first aid/CPR & stress
management, and education in developmental yoga & Functional Disconnect, she has 15 years experience in the health, fitness & education fields &
30 years experience working with children with a variety of adaptive needs. She is currently learning sign language so that she may communicate
better with mildly or non-verbal students.

In her spare time, Barbara provides volunteer services &  programming for therapeutic riding programs, schools, learning centers, youth
organizations, literacy programs/public libraries & for other special events in the tri-state area.

She works with parents, educators & families of both neuro-typical children & adults as well as those with alternate learning styles. She is the author
of a forthcoming book as well as more than 100 articles, online courses and activity guides dealing with yoga-based Sensory Integration, Stress
Management, Social Learning & Health and Fitness for children and adults.

Barbara is available for 1:1 adaptive yoga sessions, workshops, fundraising events, presentations, grant writing assistance & group instruction and to

play group for children in PA & NJ & surrounding areas since 2001. Our programs are family-friendly & use an
effective, whole child, multi-faceted approach. We aim to provide a safe, welcoming space where all children can
feel competent regardless of abilities, skills & learning styles. We know that not all children can do everything, but

all children can do something.

Our adaptive yoga & movement programs  are the first of their kind in the area, that are  specifically designed to
engage, entertain & inspire through Stories, Movement & Art & to address & accommodate the physical,
sensory & social  challenges of children with Autism, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and other SPD's.

We encourage play, self-awareness, unity & inclusion of diverse groups. These characteristics not only help children
become more aware of themselves, their bodies and each other, but also help children learn better academically.

We
partner  with traditional & non-traditional educators, early intervention & mentoring programs, camps, private
schools, community centers, non-profit organizations, youth groups, individuals & families to provide enrichment
activities that are educational, fun & therapeutic. We will
adapt & customize any program as needed.

More About the Founder and the History of S.M.Art Kids®:

Barbara Gini, CMBT, RCYT , began working with children with adaptive needs in 1979.

At age 14, Barbara's  first employment was working for the
Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired, reading and typing tests and assignments for her blind peers. She also volunteered
with a
Psychomotor Patterning program in her high school, for a fellow student  with spina biffida, and another in a community church, with an infant & a toddler, both  with downs syndrome.
During that time, she felt drawn to understand how the body & brain work, what causes these conditions & deficiencies and why others avoid, tease & further alienate these remarkable
people. She read from magazines & encyclopedias everything she could find about human anatomy, physiology, biology, neurology, sociology, psychology & pathology.

After studying Exercise Physiology at
Hahnemann University (Philadelphia, PA) & working in the allied health profession, she couldn't help but feel like there was so much more to learn &
something more that could be done with her life.

As Barbara raised her 2 sons over the next 13 years, she would find herself learning & working in various capacities in health, fitness & education, until in 1998 she began working in an early
intervention program as an autism support/ABA paraprofessional. It was here that Barbara found her passion & began to put all the pieces together. She began to visualize an enrichment
program that was fun, therapeutic and encouraged positive social interaction among her students, their families & others.

In 1999, after Barbara's daughter was born, she continued to work in the field & at the same time earned a variety of certifications, among them being Mind/Body Fitness, sport yoga, exercise
physiology, children's yoga, holistic nutrition, Brain Gym, stress management, aromatherapy & reflexology.  It was finally in 2001 Barbara launched
BodyLogique ® & began offering yoga
fitness & cultural dance classes for women & children in the south Jersey area.

In 2008 after moving to Pennsylvania, Barbara re-defined the company's mission and began to restructure the programs to be even more inclusive of children with adaptive needs by furthering
her education and working closely with educators, OT's ,  therapists & other professionals. In 2009, along with former business partner, Robin Schwoyer,
S.M.Art Kids Yoga was
conceptualized & used to establish  the
Happy HeArts Yoga program that Robin now solely directs & operates along with the HeArts for Autism program.
S.M.Art Kids Adaptive Yoga® was registered as a trademark by Barbara in 2009.

Barbara has a unique way of connecting with children of all ages, especially those who were considered 'different',  through interactive creative games and storytelling. She has been
successful  in engaging, guiding and teaching children through moving & creative play that empowers them to be more confident & learn valuable Social & Life skills at the same time they
explore their bodies, ideas, situations, thoughts and environment. Barbara works closely with OT's, PT's, paraprofessionals, educators, parents & others to ensure that her enrichment
programs are not only fun, but complimentary to traditional therapies as well.

Barbara has 3 children; 2 sons now ages 26 &  27 & a daughter age 12.  In her spare time, she volunteers at various schools & community events throughout  PA & NJ. Her 11 year old
daughter has been a trained peer mentor since age 8 & often accompanies her to events &  classes. They reside in Upper Bucks County PA.

Over the years, Barbara  has partnered & volunteered with many schools and organizations to bring creative fitness & other enrichment programs to the community. She is dedicated to
working with children & adults, athletic coaches & educators, encouraging non-competitive, whole person learning through movement arts, visual arts, and story arts, with an emphasis on the
special needs community.
Barbara's Daughter is a trained Peer Mentor and has authored a book project (The Journal Of Peace)
